Together with Marc Worrell from whatwebwhat.com we have been working on cryptographically protecting the messages between clients inside our web framework.
As you might know, we use zotonic.com as our base. We are very proud to have received a grant from the sidnfonds.nl in order to design and develop the cryptographic protocol and technical base components.
The work we have done is available as open-source and is available for all to use. It will be the basis for the new release of Zotonic.
Because we use Zotonic this work will be available for our clients too. With this new base we can develop peer-to-peer chat and cobrowsing in such a way that we as service provider can never read the contents of the communication itself. This will allow clients to use online services like chat and cobrowsing in new environments which need a higher level of trust.
